TRAINERS > RYAN CROUCH
Ryan Crouch
I started playing hockey when I was about 4yrs old in a small town called Hornepayne. I moved to Sudbury at the age of 9 and played AA up until my peewee year were I than moved on to AAA. I than played AAA up until my draft year. My Draft year I played for Valley East Cobras AAA, occasionally getting called up to play for the Rayside Sabrecats Jr.A. That summer I got drafted in the 6th round to the Sudbury Wolves. The following Winter I returned to the Sabrecats after coming short in my first attempt to crack Sudbury’s line-up. I played the full season for the Sabercats occasionally getting called up to the Wolves. I played 3 full seasons for the Wolves becoming an assistant captain for them in my final year. From that point I moved on to playing for the University of Windsor Lancers and that is were I currently play.
As far as my education goes I’m in my second year of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor. I am planning on graduating with a Degree in Human Kinetics and a double minor in both biology and psychology. I am also a certified canfit pro trainer and I am currently completing an exercise nutrition course to extend my education.
I also run my business Next Level Training that is for athletes who want to take their game to the next level. I developed this program to develop northern Ontario hockey players who have the dream of some time playing in the NHL. I’ve been involved in Sudbury hockey for about 5yrs now and realized the decline of northern Ontario players in the OHL draft. I have founded this program to help these players develop strength, speed, balance and agility to help put them back on the map in the hockey world.
