Michel Gagnon

Born October 10 1984, Michel is a passionate young fighter training out of a privately owned gym in Sudbury Ontario.

Shredder Team has been a second home to him for the last couple of years. Gagnon was born in Sturgeon Falls Ontario and has three siblings; a sister and two brothers.

In highschool, Gagnon developed a passion for Wrestling and through the years naturally became a Sambo Practitioner. Gagnon's mother has been a big part of his life, and has always been great for moral support. His supporters consist of his girlfriend,his brothers, sister, aunts and uncles not to forget his trainer Yves Charette.

Gagnon is looking to fight the best and nothing but the best. He is already 7 pro fights in and so far his future looks promising.

He made his MMA debut in September 2008 at XMMA 5 It's Crow Time, defeating Dimitri Waardenburg via Guillotine.

Mitch made another appearance at XMMA 6 House of Pain and scored a victory over Gabriel Lavallee by submission (guillotine choke).

Following those victories, Gagnon suffered his first loss to William Romero via decision at XMMA 7 Inferno.

He carried on to another win by submission (rearnaked choke) against Eugenio Carpine at the Ringside MMA The Comeback, back in May 2009.

Once again the famous rearnaked choke comes to Gagnon's adavantage gaining another win against Jeff Harrison at the latest W1 - High Voltage in October 09.

Due to Gagnon's father living so far away, he hasn't been able to attend many of his fights. But that didn't stop his father and god-father to fly 1200 miles to see 38 seconds of action. On December 12th during the event WRECK MMA - Fights for Your Troops, Gagnon added another victory under his belt. With a very explosive and unexpected stand up attack on StephanBernadel, Gagnon did what he does best and brought him down to submission; the guillotine. With over 100 tickets sold to his fan's by his sister, Gagnon felt on top of the world. He is looking forward to his next challenge.

The fans never fail to show up at Gagnon's fights. Travelling from all accross Ontario and Quebec, over a hundred fans showed up at the last Ringside - RAGE event that took place in Montreal, Qc on the 10th of April 2010 to see Gagnon be the first Featherweight champion. Gagnon showed no mercy as he entered the octogon with one thing in mind, winning that belt. He defeated Guilaume Lamarche with one of his famous Guillotine's in 52 seconds of the first round. Another win under his belt; literally!!!

Always looking for improvement, Gagnon is training on a daily basis while studying in health and fitness.
